motexiz.com keeps only what it needs to sign you in and to remember the settings you choose. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

What this covers
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) does the same job without being sent to the website with every visit. This policy covers both, on motexiz.com. The Motexiz app doesn't use browser cookies.
What we don't use
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no cookies that follow you to other websites.
- No analytics tools that record what you do on the site.
- Ads on Motexiz are counted — how many times each is seen and tapped — without cookies and without identifying anyone.
Signing in
These are needed for signing in. Without them you can still read everything, but you can't sign in.
- __session, __client_uat and clerk_active_context (some with a short code added to the name)
- Set by Clerk, our sign-in provider, on motexiz.com. They keep you signed in and let the site check that it is really you.
- Lasts: Up to 1 year; clerk_active_context until you close the browser
- Clerk's own sign-in cookies, such as __client or __clerk_db_jwt
- Set by Clerk to run the sign-in itself and protect it.
- Lasts: Up to 1 year
- __cf_bm and _cfuvid
- Set by Cloudflare, which protects Clerk's sign-in service, on Clerk's sign-in address. They tell people from automated attacks.
- Lasts: 30 minutes; _cfuvid until you close the browser

Set only when you choose a setting. They belong to this browser, not to your account.
- motexiz_tz (cookie)
- The time zone you picked, so kick-off times are shown in it. Set only if you choose one.
- Lasts: 1 year
- motexiz.theme (browser storage)
- Light or dark, if you picked one.
- Lasts: Until you clear it
- motexiz.language (browser storage)
- The language you picked.
- Lasts: Until you clear it
Other browser storage
- motexiz:ad-turn:… (browser storage for this visit)
- Which ad each ad space showed last, so the next page shows the next ad. A number only.
- Lasts: Until you close the tab
- motexiz.onboarding.… (browser storage)
- When you set up a new account: the choices made so far, so you can carry on where you stopped, and whether you skipped the setup.
- Lasts: Your choices until you finish, skip or sign out; that you skipped, until you clear it
- motexiz:announcements:dismissed (browser storage)
- The announcements you closed, so they aren't shown again.
- Lasts: Until you clear it
- __clerk_environment (browser storage)
- Clerk's copy of its own sign-in settings, so the sign-in opens faster.
- Lasts: Until you clear it
Pictures from other sites
Club badges and player photos, news pictures and profile avatars load from the services that provide them: our football data provider API-SPORTS, the news publishers (such as ESPN) and DiceBear. Like any website, they receive your IP address and browser details when your browser asks them for a picture. Their own privacy policies apply.
Your choices
Everything listed here is either needed for the site to work or set because you chose a setting, so we don't ask for cookie consent with a banner. You can still clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser's settings at any time. If you block Clerk's cookies you won't be able to sign in; if you clear the rest, your theme, language and time zone go back to the defaults.
