Terms of Use

1. Introduction

These Terms are the agreement between you and Motexiz for using the Motexiz mobile app and the website at motexiz.com (together, “Motexiz”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. By using Motexiz, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Motexiz.

These Terms work together with the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines and the Prediction & Game Points Rules.

2. Definitions

• “Motexiz”, “we”, “us” — the operator named in section 3.
• “You” — the person using Motexiz.
• “Account” — your Motexiz account.
• “Football data” — fixtures, scores, events, line-ups, standings, statistics and information about competitions, clubs and players.
• “Prediction” — your pick for the result of a match.
• “Game Points” (GP) — points shown in Motexiz for correct predictions.
• “Your content” — what you post or create: your username, bio, group names and descriptions, and messages in match rooms.

3. About Motexiz

Motexiz is a football app: live scores, fixtures and results for the clubs and competitions you choose, football news, match predictions with Game Points, groups, fan polls and live match rooms. It is operated by To be confirmed: the operator's legal name and address, Ghana.

Motexiz is not a sportsbook. Predictions are a free football game: you pay nothing to take part, and nothing of monetary value can be won.

4. Eligibility

Motexiz is for people aged 16 and over. By creating an account or using Motexiz, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.

5. Accounts

You can use some parts of Motexiz without an account. To make predictions, follow matches, join groups, vote in polls, post in match rooms or get alerts, you need an account. Sign-in is provided by Clerk (see the Privacy Policy).

Each person may have only one Motexiz account. You must give accurate information and choose a username that follows the Community Guidelines. Accounts must never be used to manipulate predictions, Game Points, polls or leaderboards (section 16).

6. Account security

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at info@motexiz.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account unless it happened because of something we did wrong.

7. Your personalised football experience

Motexiz shows scores, news and alerts around the clubs, competitions and matches you choose. What you see depends on your choices and on the data available to us.

8. Football data

Football data comes from third-party providers, such as API-FOOTBALL (API-SPORTS). We work to show it accurately and quickly, but it can be delayed, incomplete or corrected after the fact by the provider. Motexiz is for information and entertainment; do not rely on it where accuracy or timing is critical.

9. Live scores

Live scores and match events can lag behind the real match and can change — for example when a goal is disallowed or a score is corrected. What Motexiz shows follows the provider's latest information.

10. News and third-party content

News headlines, summaries and images come from third-party publishers, such as ESPN, and belong to them. Motexiz shows where each story comes from and links to the original. When you open a story or a link, the publisher's own terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for third-party content.

11. Predictions

You can make one prediction per match, before kick-off. Once made, it cannot be changed. Predictions are settled on the 90-minute result. The full rules are in the Prediction & Game Points Rules.

12. Game Points

Game Points measure how well you predict. They:

• have no monetary value;
• cannot be withdrawn, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, goods or services;
• are not a currency or a payment method.

We may correct Game Points that were awarded in error, including after the provider corrects a result (see the Rules).

13. Community

Match rooms, groups and polls are shared spaces. Follow the Community Guidelines. Match room messages are temporary: they are not saved and disappear when the room goes quiet.

You keep ownership of your content. You give Motexiz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, show and distribute your content within Motexiz, for as long as it is on Motexiz, so the features can work.

14. Notifications

If you turn on alerts, Motexiz can notify you about matches and clubs you choose. You can change or turn off alerts in the app and in your phone's settings. Alerts depend on data from providers and on notification services, so they can be late or missing.

15. Acceptable use

Use Motexiz lawfully and respectfully, for your own personal, non-commercial use, and in line with these Terms and the Community Guidelines.

16. Prohibited activities

You must not:

• break the law or help anyone else break it;
• harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive anyone;
• post hateful, sexual, violent, or illegal content, spam, scams or malicious links;
• share other people's personal information;
• manipulate predictions, Game Points, polls or leaderboards — for example with multiple accounts, automation, or by exploiting a bug;
• scrape, copy or resell Motexiz content or football data, or access Motexiz by automated means other than as the app and website do;
• try to break, overload, probe or get around the security of Motexiz or of our providers;
• reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it.

17. Intellectual property

Motexiz's name, logo, design and software belong to Motexiz or its licensors. Football data, news, and club and competition names and badges belong to their owners and are used to identify the teams, competitions and stories they relate to; their use does not mean those owners endorse Motexiz. You may not copy or reuse Motexiz's or others' material beyond normal use of the app.

18. Third-party services

Motexiz relies on third-party services, including Clerk for sign-in, Contabo for hosting, API-FOOTBALL (API-SPORTS) for football data and third-party publishers for news. Their services are provided under their own terms, and Motexiz is not responsible for them.

19. Availability

We try to keep Motexiz available, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may pause parts of it for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control.

20. Data accuracy

We do not guarantee that football data, news, Game Points or leaderboards are complete, accurate or up to date at every moment. See sections 8–12.

21. Suspension and termination

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, that puts other users or Motexiz at risk, or where the law requires it. Where appropriate we will tell you why and give you a way to ask for a review.

To be confirmedMotexiz does not yet have tools to suspend accounts, remove users from rooms or review reports. Decide what exists at launch, and change this section to match.

22. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → menu → Delete account). The screen shows what is deleted and what is kept for a limited time, and the Privacy Policy explains it. If you can't use the app, see Help.

23. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

24. Changes to the service

Motexiz will change over time. We may add, change or remove features, or stop offering Motexiz. If we stop offering Motexiz, we will try to give reasonable notice.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Motexiz after that, the updated Terms apply.

26. Disclaimers

Motexiz is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no promises beyond those in these Terms, including about accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

27. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Motexiz is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by third-party data, content or services, delays, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

28. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
